Hi, I’m Petra.

I shoot sports.

I never planned on working in sports. I wasn’t a sporty person, and my early interest in photography leaned more toward concerts and live events. Sports came later — almost by accident, as Bob Ross would say.

Once I started photographing sports, I realized I wasn’t drawn only to the action, but to the human side of it all. The focus, pressure, movement, and emotion felt raw and real. That perspective is what turned sports into the environment where I naturally belong.

My approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, but guided by strategy. I work with awareness and intention, allowing moments to unfold naturally while always keeping the bigger picture in mind.

I think beyond individual images. I focus on how visuals communicate, where they live, and how they support broader business goals. The result is work that feels honest and real, while still serving a clear purpose

I have no awards, and I’ve been rejected by major agencies multiple times (including once without me even applying), but that’s not what defines my work.
